ANIMAL FEED

Your surplus food is a viable product with a definite place in our circular economy. 

Eco Stock maximises its potential by transforming energy and nutrient rich foods into high quality sustainable animal feed.

Dry food such as biscuits, bread, cakes, confectionary and breakfast cereal amongst others are ideal candidates for recovery, reprocessing and conversion.  Most high quality food products being manufactured can be considered for transformation into high quality animal feed.

Our innovative process ensures that valuable nutrients are retained within the feed/food network rather than being lost.   We understand the technical requirements of stock feed generated from recovered food waste.

We can supply a good source of high energy palatable stock feed for all ruminant animals including cows, calves, poultry and pigs.  Our animal feed products have a high Metabolisable Energy content.

WASTE TO ENERGY

Our vision is to develop and operate anaerobic digestion (fermentation) facilities that are changing the world today, for tomorrow.  We are currently in development of our capabilities in this area, and are running a pilot plant in conjunction with SCION.

Anaerobic digestion of food waste is an established technology overseas.  It is an enclosed biological system where bacteria break down food to produce Biogas (predominantly methane and carbon dioxide) and an organic fertiliser - with valuable nutrients for plant and crop growing.

This solution provides the following benefits to Councils and waste producers:

• Reduce or eliminate the need to dispose of environmentally harmful organic wastes to landfill
• Contribute towards your waste minimisation and GHG goals

For high energy users (electricity, natural gas, heat), it:

• Contributes towards your Greenhouse Gas reduction targets
• Provides security of energy supply and mitigation against energy price increases due to increases in carbon pricing
• Provides a cost effective way of reducing energy costs

It also provides the following benefits to the agricultural industry:

• Contributes towards GHG reduction by reducing inorganic fertiliser use and on-farm emissions from effluent handling
• Has the potential to stabilise and reduce pathogens in farm effluent
• Provides renewable power and heat to be used locally (including on-farm)
• Provides a source of renewable carbon dioxide for use in horticulture green houses
